Carrie (Van Cise) Wilson

Specializing in the correct starting of young horses and the re-schooling of horses and/or riders looking for a change of disciplines.
Carrie has been involved with horses from a very young age. She has been the head trainer and rider for Claybrook Farms, in Ithaca MI, for the past five years. Claybrook Farms specializes in breeding and competing international-quality jumper prospects. There she was in charge of starting young horses and showing them in the hunter, jumper and dressage arenas. She has been very successful in all three disciplines with numerous championships. Carrie has a knack for keeping the young horse calm and relaxed while introducing them to the competition ring.

- 2007 Horse Shows By the Bay Week 3 Level 5 jumper champion
- 2006 qualified five-year old for the Young Jumper Finals
- Attended the 2008 USHJA Trainer’s Symposium
- Clinics with George Morris, Laura Kraut, Greg Best, and Aaron Vale.
- Member of the USEF, USHJA, MHJA and HJAM.
Young Horses: 2008 Dutch Keuring Highlights – trained and ridden by Carrie
- Whomatha – 1st place Iron Springs Farm Cup – Five Year Old jumpers
- Zebalila – 3rd nationally in the DG Bar cup (dressage) for 4 year olds and 5th for 3-7 year old mares.
- Zorusa – 1st in the nation for the Iron Springs Farm Cup for four year old jumpers
- Ambassador – 3rd in the nation for the DG Bar Cup for three year olds.
Dressage
- Holder of USDF Bronze and Silver Medals and shown through Intermediare I
- 2007 Qualified five year-old stallion for Markel Young Horse Championships
- USDF Year-end breed awards and Midwest Dressage Association championships
- Ridden in clinics with Lois Yukins, Gearhard Poltz, and Walter Zettel,
